Fertile Ground
My journey started on my family's 78-acre farm, tucked into the foothills of Pennsylvania's Appalachian Mountains. Life on a farm teaches you a few things: hard work pays off, resources are always limited, and the best things grow where the ground is most fertile.
Farm life also teaches you how to solve creatively. When budgets are tight and the work needs to get done, ingenuity becomes mandatory. The upside? You’re almost always outside.
I have always loved growth—pursuing athletics, fitness, and eventually coaching. Art, writing, and poetry. I fell in love with biking, and skiing, and learning how to thrive in the mountains.
Professionally, one passion fed the next—from writing to design to creative leadership. Along the way, I had the opportunity to work with some of the world's most recognizable brands across food, beverage, and health, and built a career that took me from small design studios to global agencies. That said, titles, agencies, and awards have never been the story.
The best things in my life have always grown from the same ground: health, creativity, connection, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
Lately, I've been most curious about what it means to live well—and how the work we do can help others do the same. I believe in movement. I believe in good food and good sleep. I believe that connection is essential. And I believe that being outside is some of the best medicine available.
A lot has changed since life on the farm, but the foundation never has: prioritize health, make things that matter, don't mortgage the farm to do it.
And don’t forget to spend every available moment outside.
