How does America's oldest beer brand continue to pour in a marketplace overflowing with competition? By going straight to the tap.
Getting your beer on tap in a given establishment is one of the most difficult challenges beer brands face. Big players, microbrews, and everyone in between are all vying for precious real-estate in every bar around the country. However, data shows that once your beer is being served, it's very likely to stay there.
So, when Yuengling approached us to ensure that their traditional Lager remained on tap despite ever-increasing competition, we developed a plug and play, on-premise solution that ensured Yuengling's tap handle stays in high demand.
Yuengling's "Tweets on Tap" ties an enhanced tap handle directly to Twitter. With minimal fuss to install and setup, the barrier to entry is super low for the hosting establishment.
The evening begins with tweets announcing the promotion which features a free round for everyone in the participating establishment the moment the 100th pour of Yuengling is achieved that night.
As rounds are poured, the digital tap handle automatically tracks the number of rounds being served, sending tweets at specific intervals via Yuengling's and the bar's accounts. Excitement builds as patrons share and tag, recruiting friends to join them.
Finally, when the 100th round is reached, a free round is poured, and everyone drinks to success—the bar, the brand, and beer lovers, alike.
